Gare du Nord is the busiest train station in Europe and the third largest in the world. It serves four different European countries, the northern regions of France and the northern suburbs of Paris. From its 32 tracks, 2,100 trains leave or arrive every day. Spread over an area equivalent to 11 football pitches, this impressive piece of infrastructure is also a giant shopping mall with 110 shops.
